Music 7 - Students will perform their pentatonic songs. They will have a written test on Thursday. Guitar - Students will continue practicing and recording as they progress through the book. Music History - Quiz on Monday - power point presentations. Moving onto romantic opera Music Tech - Students are cutting and mashing songs. Chorus - Senior high will have a singing test the last day of every week from now until the holiday concert. Junior high - working on their songs and choreography. Adaptive - reading and playing rhythms, singing, and this day in music.

September 18-22

Music 7 - finish found sound unit and begin our unit on writing a jingle. Music Technology - Finish the Shakespeare project Music History - Present our projects Chorus - begin choreography in senior high - begin working on our holiday music Guitar - we are working on chapter 3 - recordings need to be submitted by Friday. Adaptive Music - we are working on our day in music and singing

Sept. 11 -15

Seventh Grade Music - Listening activity on Monday. Found Sound unit beginning on Tuesday - ALL students must bring in a found sound instrument for class on Wednesday!!! We will work in groups to create a piece of music. History - we will continue discussing the Baroque era and start our research projects. Tech - continue working on your projects. guitar - we are working on learning and recording music using the second string. adaptive - we are playing rhythms on instruments, singing patriotic music, and discussing this day in music history. chorus - senior high is working on the county chorus audition piece. Junior high chorus is working on learning the 4 parts to the national anthem.

Aug 28-Sept8

Music 7 - students will take notes on notes. Write rhythms, create a song with the pentatonic scale, and perform our song. We have a written test on Wednesday 9/6. Guitar Class - we are at the basic part of tuning and playing the first three notes. Students must record and submit via their gapps account 2 songs per week. Adaptive Music - we will be playing instruments, reading rhythms, singing and learning about this day in music history. Music History - we are at the beginning. We are learning ways to listen. We will discuss composers and genres and listen to music each day. Music Tech - we will primarily be using garage band in this class. We are starting a looping assignment. Chorus -Senior High - we are going to be looking at the county chorus piece for this year. Junior high - we will be learning our voice parts as well as beginning to learn the national anthem in 4 parts.

May 1 - 5

General Music - write song, play guitar, this day in music history, moving to music. 7th General - Work on writing our jingle and performing them. Muisc History - Continuing through the modern era Guitar - work on individual packets. Chorus - final concert prep.

April 24 - 28

General Music - Guitar Playing,Singing, and Moving 7th grade - Finish composing Found Sound Ensemble pieces and perform them for the class. Guitar- continue working on packets of notes. Modern Music - The roots of Heavy Metal Chorus - Sing - Sing - Sing - Final Concert Prep.

April 17-21

General Music - guitar playing, moving, and instrument playing 7th General - written test on Tuesday on our notes. We will start our found sound unit. music history - finish power point presentations M, Tuesday review, Wednesday Test.Start next unit on Thursday Guitar - continue playing chords. Chorus- Cleaning choreo and working on vocals.

April 3 - 7

Welcome to the final quarter of the school year! 7th grade - Welcome - rules and expectations. Notes and notes and note writing. General - Guitar playing and song writing Chorus - cleaning choreography Music History- Current performerpower point Guitar - em performance test.

Guitar - play Ode to Joy reading individual notes. Begin next chord packet History of Modern Music - Discuss the beach boys Seventh Grade - Listening Activites Chorus - Break Down of Vocals - Singing Test next week.

Feb 27 - March 3

General Music - Finish our song. Karaoke, Dancing, and This Day in Music Rock and Roll - finish presentations. Test Thursday. Review Wednesday Guitar - Testing on B, C, and D single notes 7th General - Finish our jingles. Choose our favorite Jingle and Record our commercial. Chorus - Fine Tune the Vocals.

February 21- 24

Guitar - We are playing the "real" G and D7 chords - playing test on Thursday and then we are moving on to playing single notes. modern Music History - Presenting power points. Music 7 - Finish the freedom rider - We shall over come unit. We will be moving onto the jingle unit. General Music - finishing writing our song and practicing it on the guitar. Chorus - finishing choreography.

Feb 13-16

General Music - Writing a song - playing guitar 7th grade - We will be working on the freedom rider unit. Guitar - We are learning the D7 chord and notes on the second string Modern Music - Finish power point creation this week.

Feb 6-10

General Music - continue playing guitar. We are going to write our own song this week. Movement, instruments, and karaoke Friday. Seventh - Found Sound Unit. Found Sound instrument is due on Tuesday.
