Concerts and Break

The Concerts were WONDERFUL!!!!! I am super proud of the band and chorus members! I know your families are proud too. I have gotten many e-mails sending you congratulations.

Enjoy your break! I know I will.

When we return from break - if you are in 4th, 5th, or 6th grades you may join chorus! See me for a paper. If you were in the holiday show, no worries, you are still in the chorus!

Congratulations on a job well done for the K-6 Christmas Programs!!

Band you have rehearsal on Tuesday, December 15th.

Chorus you have rehearsal on Thursday, December 17th.

Chorus and Band concert is on Thursday, December 17th at 7:00 PM

Chorus and Band will perform their concert for the students on Friday, December 18th.

Concert attire for the PM concert is your holiday wear. Concert and rehearsal attire for the school day is DRESS CODE!!!!

It is almost Concert time!

The NSE students are almost ready for their Christmas Shows!

December 10 is the K-2 program at the High School at 9:30 AM
December 11 is the 3 -6 program at the High School at 9:30 AM

December 17 is the Chorus and Band program at the High School at 7:00 PM

We hope to see you there! There has been a revision on the attire for the concert. Students are permitted to wear holiday attire on their concert day!!! Please no jeans or tshirts.

Concert Attire

The Children are being asked to wear their school uniform for the K-2 and 3-6 programs on December 10th and 11th.

The Band and Chorus concert that is on December 17th at 7:00 PM, the children are being asked to wear their nice dress clothing. No Jeans, tee shirts, or sleeveless dresses! Dark pants are preferred for boys. Girls may wear dress pants and a nice top or a dress. Please keep in mind the children will be moving about, they need to be able to raise their arms without showing their midriff. Please don't dress in a sweater, it will be HOT on stage and I don't want you to pass out!

****Rehearsals are going well. Chorus students MUST work on As Long as There's Christmas - it needs attention!

Band students please work on The Ukrainian Bell Carol - it needs work!!!! ************

Christmas comes early in the Music Department. The children will begin learning their songs for the Christmas show on November 2nd.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT DATES ARE SET!!!

The Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade concert will be on Thursday, December 10 at 9:30 AM. The concert will be held in the high school auditorium.

The Third, Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Grade concert will be on Friday, December 11 at 9:30 AM. The concert will be held in the high school auditorium.

The Beginner Band, Advanced Band, and Chorus concert will be held on Thursday, December 17 at 7:00 PM. This concert will also be at the high school auditorium.

Chorus and Band

Chorus - CDs of our Christmas Show are being recorded and will be available to you at your next rehearsal. I expect you to listen to your parts and practice. We will be learning movements and motions starting in November. Audtions for the solos will be posted next week - fifth and sixth grade chorus members may audition.

Band - Beginners - Keep on working - you must be able to play the first 5 notes to be in the Christmas show. Keep on trying and you will succeed!

Band - advanced - We had an excellent morning rehearsal. I am so proud of you. You MUST keep working on the Bell Carol....that needs a lot of attention and TLC!!!!! We will be rocking that song next week.

October Happenings

The beginner band is working hard on the first three notes! They are already playing together!

The advanced band has five songs in their folders for the December Holiday Concert.

The chorus has been working on their 2 part harmonies in preparation for their Toon Tunes Concert.
